This job was in East London and involved removing the existing chimney which was structurally unstable and would also increase the room size.
The chimney inside the room was removed completely however the exterior part on the roof was untouch and steel beams
installed to support the remaining section of the chimney.
Owing to the poor state of the brick wall, it was batten-out and leveled then covered in insulated plasterboard and as a added precaution black damp proof membrane was used to cover the entire wall to prevent possible ingress of damp from the exterior.
The hole in the floor where the chimney had been was floor boarded over.
